CI has been a dear friend in my life for over twenty years, as have the beautiful people in the CI community. Having been doing yoga since 1998 and teaching it for twenty years, I’ve always noted the yummy mutual, reciprocal elements between yoga and CI. I became an osteopath in 2018, which brought new clarity and curiosity as to the anatomical and biomechanical factors involved in movement. A CI dance could potentially even serve as a healing modality for oneself and the partner!
Letting anatomy serve the dance
How does the body move and from which parts especially? Which parts are more stable? Which parts is it easier to follow a partner with? How do we consciously include other levels than the physical one in dance?
